Deserves Exemplary Care™
The Compliance Team, Inc. is an independent, privately owned, healthcare
evaluation firm located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania founded
in 1994. Our continuing mission is to promote healthcare delivery
excellence through the implementation of sustainable quality improvement
regimes that are not difficult or costly to realize, and that simplify
healthcare accreditation measures while establishing SAFETY-HONESTYCARING™
as core patient relationship values. National Recognition
The first Exemplary Provider™ Accreditation Programs for Durable
Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics,
Supplies (DMEPOS), Physician Practices, Pharmacies and Specialty Providers
were launched in 1998.
In Fall 2006, The Compliance Team, Inc. was formally approved by the
federal government’s Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a “deemed” accreditation
organization for all DMEPOS providers. Measured Continuous
Quality Improvement
Innovations such as the development of service and product-line specific
quality standards and measured continuous quality improvement that
were first introduced by The Compliance Team, Inc. are today accepted
as conventional healthcare evaluation design wisdom. Rural
and Community Hospital Accreditation Process
Provider organizations are guided to healthcare delivery excellence
while going through a dramatically simplified accreditation process
that focuses on their everyday patient care practices and business
operations. In essence, each organization enters into an all-inclusive
measured continuous quality improvement program that is driven by
the Compliance Team’s proprietary Safety-Honesty-Caring™
quality standards that are service specific and written in easily
understood simple language. First time applicants enroll for two-years
plus an Orientation period which takes approximately 6-months to complete.
(Note: The initial sign-up period FEE covers the Orientation and 2
Annual On-site Evaluations.)
Once formally enrolled, a series of intensive Orientation teleconferences
are conducted that focus on specific
program requirements regarding Administration, Patient Services, Infection
Control, Risk Management,
Corporate Compliance, Human Resources and Government Regulatory as
well as other patient care issues. No Need
to Hire a Consultant!
As part of the program’s all-inclusive nature, Compliance Team
Advisors are assigned to each new participating organization to conduct
the Orientation teleconferences and handle all on-going phone and/or
e-mail consultations. When it is determined that a provider organization
has documentation in place that reflects a minimum of six-months compliance
to the program quality standards an On-site Evaluation is conducted.
(Note: A score of 90% or better is required to achieve The Compliance
Team’s Exemplary Provider™ Certificate of Accreditation.
Also, the effective length of Accreditation equals 1-year plus a 30-day
grace period if needed.) Thereafter, Patient Outcomes data are required
to be submitted. The Compliance Team then aggregates the data and
issues quarterly Analysis Reports. At the end of the initial two-year
enrollment period, the program renews annually.

| Since the time of ancient Greece, the legend
of Asclepius has served as a metaphor for healthcare delivery excellence.
Pindar and Isyllus in the 4th century BC described him as the first
great caregiver—mankind’s universal benefactor whose compassion
for human suffering brought out his brilliance and benevolence. |
